The guys over at Ars Technica (www.arstechnica.com) have put up a review of the LONNNNGGGG awaited Duke nukem Forever! There were several reason given as to why it took so long but the main one was X-platform compatibilty.

As reported, the game has an FULL BLOWN WEB 3.0 front end, which means it can be played in your browser!!!!!!!

It was also said that they did change ENGINES several times over the course of the project leading to additional delays. Gameplay was reportedly smooth in FF and IE, and contained LOTS of HOT COFFEE type scenes reminiscent of Duke Nukem 3D, replete with strippers and nudity.

I guessit's a good idea that MS is removing IE7 from Explorer in Vista cause that would probably cause some problems.

Tell me you're joking, and that you did note the date on the article?

Agreed you better be joking. Why would playing through the browser be something anyone would want. That doesnt even make sense.
