Folder permissions

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers (More info?)

I have the 'Read Only" checkmark on many folders. I try
to remove them but no luck.
I need help

Of course. Folders do not have Read-Only attributes and if you look a
little closer, the checkmark is dimmed out for this reason.
