missing since upgrading to XP

I've just upgraded to XP from ME. After doing so I found
things missing. When I try to access my Outlook express
and I found that all my folders and saved email are
missing even some network adapters are seemingly gone.
Even WMP has changed I had ver.9.0 now I have the
previous 8.0. So many things have changed. How can I get
my previous settings?

me and xp use different locations to save data.

as for outlook express data, search for the folder where .dbx files are
found. before doing anything else, copy all the contents of this folder to
another folder.

then open oe, click on tools > options > maintenance tab > store folder
button and take note of the folder indicated in the store location window.

close oe. erase the contents of the folder where oe stores its files then
copy the contents of folder you have backed up to the folder indicated in
the store location folder.

after this, you may try to open oe and check if you now got your emails.

as for wmp, winxp comes with wmp8. what you originally have was wmp 9 for
win me. you now need to download wmp 9 for xp as these two versions of wmp
differ.
