Hi. I am trying to uninstall windows xp home edition and
there is no undo or uninstallation folder. there is no ms-
dos, when i try to manually uninstall xp from safe mode
with command prompt, it says windows cannot uninstall
because registration information is missing, which is my
uninstall or undo folder. XP isn't even in my add/remove
programs. i have tried repeatedly crashing it only to
have it reboot back to windows xp. I want to install
windows 98 on it because windows xp is not compatible for
my computer. I would appreciate help with this cause its
not crashing and i don't know what else to do. It won't
format hard drive either. PLEAASE HELP!!!!!
Thanks,
Kathy

If there is no problem with formatting the HDD (which will destroy all
the data): get a bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com and start your
computer with it. Use FDISK to remove all partitions and to resetup
the HDD, then format the drives. Insert the Windows 98-CD and start
Setup.
