when i open windows it automatically launches another program, how can i stop this?

There are a couple of things you can check. One to look at start - programs - startup and see if the programs that are starting up are located there. If not go to start - run - type msconfig - click on the startup tab - check the list for the programs that keep starting up and if there are there remove them.
