It installed fine, runs fine through the intros and if I leave it on the first menu for hours it's perfectly alright, but as soon as I move the mouse to click on 'Soloplay' it freezes and sometimes crashes my comp, I've tried updating my display drivers but it says 'INF error Video driver not found' and then 'Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adaptor with a standard VGA driver before running setup' I've also tried closing all background applications.
I've been on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and my specs match the recommended specs for the game.
Anybody's help will be greatly appreciated.

who did you buy your comp from. i got that error when trying to update my dell inspiron notebook. it had a widescreen display and needed the dell drivers. of course they have it would appear stopped updating my vid card.

re-install the game and perhaps post your specs.

I bought it first hand from Savastore (Watford Electronics)

Specs are:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ MMX, 3D Now, ~800MHz
1024mb RAM (Also have a 160Gig External HDD)
DirextX 9.0c
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 series AGP (0x4350) version 6.14.0010.6378[/code]

the fact that it loads suggest it is a bad install rather than hardware. if it froze during game play then maybe hardware or drivers. my old dell had a p43.2, 2gb ram, and a 9800 mobilty and it ran it fine. have you got the latest patches from EA installed and if so have you tried a system restore back to before they were installed.

Ok, well I've tried the patch yet still does the same, I installed it using my CD burner but I did the same with my Football Manager and that works perfectly.
I can't find my Windows disc to do a system restore.

you don't need your windows disk to do a system restore. it is in accesories then system tools. have you tried re-installing the game itself.

have you got a firewall installed that might be stopping it running. this is an EA game after all so it could be trying some strange stuff.

Yeah I've re-installed it quite a few times and switched my Firewall off but it still does it
