BG2 Crashing after Slayer manifestation

Here's the deal. I'm running WinXP Pro with SP2. I also installed a couple goodies, namely the Lvl 50 xp cap and the 'Happy Party' segment of Shadows Over Soubar (rather than the full mod itself because it was glitchy) Anyway, no problems at all, until Bodhi's maze. I got to the point where the PC turns into the Slayer, and the party did not say anything. This may have been due to the Happy Party fix. Anyway, I went to sleep in the dungeon, (and then tried sleeping elsewhere) and had the dream with Imoen and PC as the Slayer. Afterwards, when PC wakes up, the game makes to load a new area, but the computer freezes, and I have to turn it off and back on. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and am currently playing again to see if it happens this time. Oh yes, I also have the Collection version. Thoughts? Anyone have this same problem? Thanks for your time.
