How do you change recycle bin icons?

Can anyone give me a run down on how to change my recycle bin icons. I have selected 2 .ico icons and have made an attempt at changing them through the registry but no cigar!! I also have norton system works install so i have a protected recycle bin (not that i have a clue what the protected bin does!!)

Right click on your desktop, select Properties, and then Desktop Tab. Click Customize Desktop button. In General Tab select the Recycle Bin Icon(full or empty) and press the Change Icon button. You know the rest of the drill. Good luck!
