My daughter came home from college & a friend had put
adware on her machine. I've removed the program and
deleted many of the files manually. Norton still detects
about 7 files in a folder C:recovery|etc, etc. that I
would like to delete. How do I get to this folder? I
can't seem to find it in Windows Explorer.

Hi,

Control Panel/Folder Options/view tab, set it to see hidden and operating
system folders.

If adware is same as spyware, use the information below from Will Denny,
MVP:

Try any/all of the following programs to check for and delete any spyware
that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

The first two, I know, are free.
