PC Specs:
ASUS A8N-SLi MB
AMD A64 3800 X2
3-D Fuzion GeForce 7800GT SLi w/256
Consair PC-3200 DIMM Modules (3GB total)
Blue Titanium 600w PS
17" LCD Monitor
300GB 7200RPM HD
16x DVD burner w/32x48x32 CD-RW Drive

OK, with the above specs, what's the best game on the market that'll benefit on my system? Currently I play Sims 2 and Godfather. TS2 doesn't really benefit the SLi capability but the Godfather does, only I have to swap drivers cause the newer Nvidia drivers doesn't work well with TS2 and vice versa.
So basically I'm in the market for some new games....any advice? I'm opened to anything (except lots of blood, sexual themes, etc)

Thanks, actually I originally had 2 but my dad bought the wrong type of stick for his machine and gave it to me. Honestly, I have notice a difference in overall performance since installing it.

Please define "best." Since you have a 17" LCD monitor, that means your native resolution is 1600x1200, right?

If you really want to put your system to the test with the most intensive games, I think it's pretty clear that nothing beats F.E.A.R. and Oblivion. If you're looking for a game you can set to cause your framerate to drop below 60fps, (and SERIOUSLY below 60fps) look no further than those two, as nothing else will do the trick.

Of course, I note that those two DO have quite their share of blood, and people's opinions of how much "sexual themes" Oblivion has vary wildly. (it's only dialogue, and I guess it IS less than you'd see in, say, Baldur's Gate 2 or a similar popular RPG)

most likely he has a max res of 1024 x 1280. only the expensive monitors have 1600 x 1200. if he only has 1024x1280 SLI is a bit of a waste.

Well jeez.... that explains why you are playing Sims2 I guess. Removing the above kinda limits you wouldn't you think?

Ah, yes, I forgot that the "mainstream" 17" LCD might have a 1280x1024 native resolution; I've gotten so used to people mentioning them as being capable of 1600x1200. (and me being only a little disgruntled over having a 17" CRT that can only go up to 1280x1024)

As for whether the SLi setup would be overkill for that kind of setup, remember that it's largely personal opinion; to some, ANY SLi setup is a waste. However, I know that even at 1280x1024, there are ways they can really strain those cards; you'd be suprised just how far UP you can turn the settings in Oblivion. They cap them in-game for a reason, ASIDE from the ability to claim that the Xbox 360 plays it maxed out.
