i just found out you can use xbox 360 controllers on your pc but i didn't know there where 2 different versions of the wired on. I now have an xbox 360 controller but no drivers or software for windows. does anyone know where i can downloads them

Plug it in. Windows will detect the controller and automatically install the drivers (at least, it did this for me on WinXP).

You can also get the drivers from the Microsoft website, but it's quite hard to find. It's also no different to the auto-download, so it's a waste of time.

You won't be able to use the rumble feature though - the drivers don't support that (yet).
