I recently purchased a new Dell Machine with a Dell 19" Flat Panel display. I'm disapointed in the overall resolution, especially when displaying text. I recall seeing a utility within the Microsoft site where one can download something to assist with this issue if you are using a flat panel display, but I can no longer find that tool.

Here are my system Specs, including the video card details. Any help, suggestions, links is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Setting and adjust your Screen Resolution
settings, then select "Highest (32 bit) Color Quality setting,
and click "apply".

Afterward, use ClearType to tune your monitor:

In addition to the other response regarding color depth and ClearType you
should know (if you don't already) flat panel monitors are designed to run
only in their "native" resolution. For the 19" Flat panel Ultrasharp that
shipped with my Dell that would be 1280 x 1024. They look terrible at other
resolutions.

I do notice that while you said it is a 19" monitor, in your system specs
you list the 1801FP Ultrasharp which is an 18" monitor. Consult your system
documentation for the proper native resolution for whichever model you have.
