Location Not Found - Entering URL in address field

Last response: in Windows 7

I've experienced some weird troubles with my Windows 7 lately. On all my Windows installs I've always enabled the address field. It makes my life so much easier. But about a month ago I started getting these weird errors when using it. When entering an URL it seems to me that windows thinks I'm looking for a file, folder or volume syntax while Opera does what I expect it to, open the site!

This error is driving me crazy, I even re-installed Windows, problem is still there. So either its the combination of Opera and a recent Windows Update or any other program I use or its just a bug I've been so unlucky to experience on the same computer twice and not on any other of my computers.

Look for yourself.

PS! Error says something like this: (TOP: Location not available) Text: \ is not available (I did not input the "\"). Filename, folder name or volume syntax is wrong.

Thanks in advance for any advice, tips or solutions you might bring to the table.
