Hi, I am using a dell pc(win98 500MHz P3, 384Mb) on a 3 user peer to peer. I keep losing the ip connection on only this pc. Am using a linksys usb card on a linksys hub connected to a linksys 4port Cable Gateway/Router in a remote part of our building. (yea, linksys made some $$ on us). I can see all the other pc's on the local end but, During the day I will lose the Ip connection. I can restore it using WINIPCFG >release > renew, but what could be trashing this connection on a daily basis? Any ideas?

what does winipcfg say after losing it but before release/renew? Is it a valid address? or is it the default 169.254.X.X?

No Address at all actually 00.00.00.00. for the network card. the other adapters listed have some address and if i try to "refresh/renew" them i get errors trying to release/renew

get rid of those, you dont need them, they could have somthing to do with it. unless of course you still use a modem to dial up to aol?

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
