Does anyone know what the A7 error is- it's not shown in the ABit manual.

I've just assembled the following basic components:

Abit BD-7
P4 1.80A 845 400FSB CPU 578 pin
512M DDR RAM (Crucial)
LeadTek GeForce 3 Ti200
IBM HD 40GB
Floppy Drive
MWAVE CI-6606/400 Middle Tower W/400W, Pentium 4 ready.

The A7 error comes up even before the video BIOS comes on screen, I don't get anything on my monitor at all. I've tried disconnecting the HD and floppy, all that's left is the CPU, RAM and video card. No change. Any ideas on what to do or where to look?
I do note that this chipset requires an AGP 2.0 (4*AGP) compliant video card, although I'm sure the Ge3 Ti-200 is that.

Also- I note the BD-7 does not feature on ABit's site at all, but the BD-7II does. What's the difference, and does this indicate that I should change the mobo out for the later model?

Thanks for any help on the error issue.

Bruce.

A7 is a memory error, usually means your DIMMs aren't fully seated. Take
them/it out and reseat *firmly*. If you have the board out of the case it
may help to place the board on a non-conductive backing while you push.
