hi i have been told my motherboard and graphics drivers
need updating can someone tell me were i can down load
these driver updates.

maker of your devices for driver updates.

I highly recommend a program called Everest Home Edition for newbies like yourself. This program allows you to view all of your hardware\software configurations and frequently gives you links to the manufacturers sites to get driver updates or patches as needed. Here is the download link for it. Then once you have it installed then start clicking your way around inside it. The one thing with XP is that you should not be afraid of right clicking and then choosing properties to find out about stuff. Also clicking any of the tools\options will allow you to see what you can or can't configure. XP is quite forgiving. Usually you can get newer drivers from the websites of the
manufacturers of the hardware devices.
