533fsb with RAMBUS 800MHz

Can anyone explain how the fsb/mem settings work here, and what benefit it gives you?

All they're saying is that PC1066 isn't officially supported. You can still use PC1066 to get a synchronous bus. Otherwise, the CPU runs at 133 and the RAM at 100.

The 133(533) P4s are too expensive, just get a 1.8A or even 2.0A and run it at 133.

Good, that is exactly what I thought. If you were going to spend the money on this (why?), wouldn't you want 1066 to keep the ratio? Seems like a waste of not only money, but of bandwidth as well, to use 533fsb with RAMBUS 800.

Finding 1066mhz Rambus Ram is just about impossible right now. Some people have been able to get 800mhz Ram and overclock it to 1066mhz, but its a crap shoot. Once the ram companies starting making 1066mhz ram you can bet your ass its going to be expensive as hell.

Also, P4's at 533mhz fsb are hard to find, and are way over priced since retail supply is extremely limited. Basically, the P4 at 533 fsb w/ 1066mhz RAM platform doesn't quite exist yet except in the hands of a very few hardware review sites.

Hitting PC1066 with Samsung PC800 is easy, I've yet to find someone who couldn't do it.

PC1066 is out, just in very limited quantities (and more expensive than it first looked like it was going to be).
