how can you find out what mobo is in a compaq computer? i need to flash.

i forgot to say that i want the real bios, not the compaq one which is on there right now. i know there is a web site for this, but cant remember what.

i replied to the other post same here. these boards are specificaly made for compaq. they have what they call a "Rompaq" program to update the bios on the boards. look on their website for it. dont use any other flash utility. by the way i build these computers and use rompaqs to fix corrupted bios. good luck!

oh, I forgot. I went throught this a year or so back with a friends Compaq. Sorry I didn't remember sooner. Those boards are totally proprietary (like the other poster said). Forget about flashing with anything other than Compaq.
