What is the best board to put a Celeron 1.3 (Skt370) into. I erroneously purchased one of these thinking that I could throw it in an older Socket 370 board (Abit WX6). This is a budget machine that needs an upgrade. Should I be considering the i815EPT chipset boards like the ASUS TUSL2-C? Or should I pitch the processor and spend a little more money on a P4 Northwood? Looks like the 1.6 is down in price. Man it is getting harder than ever to keep up with CPU, chipset advancement!

Send it back. The PIII 1000EB will work with your board, and it performs better than the Celeron 1.3 Tualatin.

Nah, your board is crap too, i810 chipset. Sell everything.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

If I recall, the WX6 won't even take a CuMine core, much less the Tualtin! The TUSL2-C board can be had for under $100 and it runs OK, but your Celeron won't perform near as well as the P4 Northwood 1.6 you mention. (make SURE you get a Northwood if you go that way!)

If you can send it back and get the P4, do that.
