Just did a minor upgrade on the computer to an Asus A7A133 moboard with an AMD Duron 1G chip. running 512 or PC133 RAM.

did a reformat of the hard drive and a fresh install of MS Win98SE.

the system isn't overclocked but seems to be unusually more unstable than 98 was.

Would like to upgrade to XP but haven't seen if the moboard is compatible and don't see a bios update on the the Asus website.

Any ideas which dark alley I've wandered into?

try to clear ur CMOS and if possible update it... that would probably work.

and u dont need a mobo to be "compatible" with your OS so u can install WINDOWS-XP anywhere anytime nor u need to special bios to run it.

if the problem still persists let me know.

THE MAIN CAUSE FOR GLOBAL WARMING- MY KICK ASS ATHLON XP ;)
