Motherboard issues

I´m going to build a new computer next month but I don´t know what motherboard I´ll need. I want a 1000 Mhz Amd Duron (FSB @ 200 Mhz, I think) with 256 Mb Ram and possibly a GeForce II Pro. Is the MSI K7T 266 any good?

I want a stable and reliable board.

Please help, thanks.

soyo dragon+ is an awsome board. you may want to rethink getting a duron, xps are way better performers, and fsb 266 is a big help. the price difference is not that much.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

Agreed. Nix the Duron. Grab an XP or an older T-Bird chip. Your Mobo choice is fine, but forget about the Geforce II Pro. Save your money and grab something that will serve you better and longer: Geforce 3 Ti 200 are under $200 (Canadian) and the ATI 8500's are a little more. Both would be far better choices for your system.

If you want Duron, get 1.2G or up since they are Morgan core same as XP but less L2 cache (64Kb instead of 256Kb as XP).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
