Good Westerns have been few and far between in the video game industry - recent titles like "GUN" and "Red Dead Revolver" haven't lived up to their potential. TwitchGuru looks at why the Old West offers an ideal setting for games with its violence, lawlessness and unexplored frontiers, but why it hasn't yet made a solid connection with gamers.

Nice article, but you forgot to mention a rather addictive Multi-player
Western game called "The WildWest".

It is a modification of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein MP game.
Cowboys v Bandits. Been in development now for err 4 years !!!
