I try to install NFSMW, and once it gets to the liscense agreement section, there is no writing to see, and once i click next, it stated that I need to update my DX drivers, but I already have dx9.0c. I have no ideea whats going on. My GC is a Evga 7900gt. and I currently have forceware 84.20
Any ideas on whats happening??
When I first bought the game I had an issue, I can't remember what exactly it was, but it turned out to be a faulty disc. If you just got the game and this is the first time you've tried installing it this may be the case. If it's worked before then I'm not sure what's going on.
Full uninstall, double and triple check you have DirectX 9.0c installed, upgrade to the latest forceware drivers then try installing again. (with reboots between each of these steps)
There are updates on DX9, like for an example fear needs to update your dx9, although you already have DX9. You can try updating your dx from the microsoft website. Should work fine on your pc. Mine handles it with ease.
Or else you can make an image of the disk and try installing it from the image (with alcohol 120% wich i always use).
Or just copy the disk to a folder on you HD and try installing it from there. If it gives an error while while its copy-ing (dont know how to spell ) then your disk is probably broken.
Any reason why you want to share your expert opinion with us on this particular topic? Or are you still working on replying to those other 2587 topics on these forums where you also have no clue?
There's an issue EA stated in their Support website. It seems that's related to DirectX updates.
The solution? Go to the properties of the "setup.exe" file and in the Compatibility tab, select Windows 2000. Done! 8)
At least that worked for me! Let me know if it worked for you!
Where's my post??? :?: :?:
I posted the solution to your problem, but looks like it didn't work. :?
.....
Here it goes again:
You should set Windows 2000 Compatibility mode for the "setup.exe" file. That should work. It worked for me! 8)
