I´m looking for a P-IV mobo and I have some questions.

Does Intel 845G support DDR333? What about the 845E?
At intel´s site, they don´t say anything about DDR333, but in tomshardware "Episode II: Attack of the Chipsets - Intel 845E and 845G for 533 MHz FSB and DDR-SDRAM", he says that 845G does support DDR333.

For gaming/home use, which would be better? I won´t use the onboard video in the 845G.

Thanks...

I know that 845E does not support DDR333 for sure, but I was also wondering about 845G. It says in Tom's article that you refferred to that it does, but none of the motherboard manufacturers say so. They still say there 845G boards support PC1600/PC2100. Nothing at all about PC2700! Anyone have any info on this?

Intel will introduce a new chip that officially supports DDR333 in few months or longer. For 845G, Intel tells the reviewers, such as tomshardware that it will support DDR333, but Intel doesn’t say I845G support DDR333 officially (on paper) because Intel has not finished all the testing requirement to say that the chipset can support DDR333. And that is why you cannot find any info on Intel’s website and any MB's website. I really like to hear from the people who get a MB with I845G and using DDR333 if they have any problem with their system. GL
