After thumbing through the August 2006 issue of PC Gamer..
boy am I ever so glad that I decided on a gaming PC rather than getting a console, or even just that I'm considered a "PC Gamer". There are so many great titles slated for the future, namely RPGs (Gothic 3, WoW Expansion, Warhammer Online), Strategy (Spore, 'nuff said), and FPS (Prey, UT 2007) just to name a few.
Sorry, just had a cool feeling I needed to share 
Also, there's an interesting article concerning PC Games in stores. Supposedly Microsoft is making an attempt to bring it back to something more than a dinky little mesh shelf that we see now. The best next-gen console maker (Xbox 360) is also turning out to be healthy for the PC Market as well.
