Your right. It shouldn't be the hard drive. It has nothing to do with storage. I've encountered the same problem with Excel 2007. That means it has to have something to do with the operating system. I'm stumped.

Excel 2010 seems to have a problem.

I have a number of spreadsheets that will open but ribbon commands will not work. I can edit or access each cell but the ribbon, quick access bar and tabs will not respond. Really getting annoyed at this.
Moved from 2007 which I thought was great. Damn

Am running Win7 (32) and full 2010 suite. I dont think this is likely top be a hard drive problem but its all installed on an Intel SSD drive
