I have been using Windows XP Home edition for about 2 months and the other day I turned PC on and a
new window and screen appeared. It is not the windows I was using. Programs function but I cant sign
on to Yahoo. The site does not open and on the bottom it states "cannot connect to server"
and now I cant get back in. Any help would be appreciated..

Anybody else has access to this computer and possibly made
changes to the desktop? If there are multiple users, logged
in under your user name and not somebody else's?

Thanks for your reply but I have been the only user. I think I made have logged out by mistake and am unable to get back in. But would this also cause the message "Cannot locate server" I contacted my ISP and they said that could not find my computer connected to their system when they did a diagnostic. Thanks again

I would check for spyware that may have changed IE in some way. A
clear out of old cookies and temp internet files may also help.
Also check Privacy options in Internet Options to make sure that it
doesn`t block Yahoo in any way.
