My computer: AMD 3500+-200gb hardrive-1gb ddr-ATI x1300

cant play day of defeat source, a game released in september 05, but i can play oblivion and fear. what is the problem, because my pc is obviously powerfull enough

Funny funny.

Altho in saying that I had an internittent freezing problem with DoD and CSS as well but it only seemed to happen when AF was up to x16.

Just to narrow another problem down does the game freeze during play or when you go to search for servers. If it freezes on the server search and you have ZA installed make sure you allow HL2.exe full access.

update all drivers if no go reformat and resintall everything

If it freeze just when you start it, or possibly is trying to find any servers it could be your firewall blocking it and thus it freeze.

I always have this problem after a re-install since I forget it all the time.

This seems to go for all hl2 related multi player products.

ye we need more info about symtoms beofre we can diagnose.
