I wonder if you could shed some light on this problem.
I am running a WAP54G to connect a machine (win2000) to my LAN, the machine
is using a WMP54G PCI card.
I have set the Wireless Configuration service to start automatically and
added the Wireless G PCI Monitor to the startup menu.
When I reboot the machine the WMP54G connection doesn't come up until I log
on to the machine.
This machine is accessed by me remotley, I need the connection to come up
without needing to log in to windows first as without the connection I
cannot log in.

Instead of putting the Monitor in the startup folder, which runs when a user
logs on, I think you'll have better luck making a registry entry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

there is also a utility which will allow it to run as a service. a
service in windows nt/2k/xp runs even when no-one is logged on unlike
an application which only runs when someone is logged on.
