Hey guys,

I have two computers in the same network and I want to play CS Source from both of them on the same server at the same time. I recall there being a way to ghost an IP Address to do this but don't know much about it. If anyone knows anything that can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I do have two accounts in the first place since i want to join the same server on two computers. The problem is that it wont let the second accout join because of the two computers having the same IP.

hmm i didn't think it was possible to have 2 comp on the same i.p. i have 3 home comps on a network and they all have different i.p addresses. i would blame your network settings for not being able to do it. how exactly do the 2 comps connect.

perhaps i am wrong but so is your anme so who cares.

The router IP is the same on both computers and that's the one that the CS Source servers look for when we connect.

never knew that. are you saying the server only recognises the routers ip and not the ip of the individual comps or are you saying the router issues the same one to both.

Both computers have their own induvidual IPs but the server only recongnizes the router IP.

never new that, unlucky. i wonder why that is. perhaps there is a way of bypassing it and allowing only the valve servers to see both comps. maybe you can set special rules to allow it. i have never mucked about with my own router expect to get my network functioning.

Do you reckon he needs to set up port-forwarding on his router?

You might want to try using a VPN client to get past this problem. I've used Cisco's VPN client for quite awhile and I've been able to bypass some of the router problems I've had with that. Just a thought
