I'm planning to build a system for my parents and it would be more of a gaming system then these ones and for half the money they're charging. They're probably just filling a niche in the market, for the chronically stupid.

With Dell its not necessarily a case of chronic stupidity, but sometimes it can just be a lapse in judgement and/or being influenced by crappy commercials. Even if you're not chornically stupid you will still be suffering from your mistake for the next 2-3 years so either way it sucks.
