My playstation 2 has recently only started to play playstation 1 games! Everytime I try to play a playstation 2 game it either says disk cannot be read, or most of the times it doesnt even regester there's a game in there. However, when I insert a game from the playstation 1 it runs easily. How could I fix this problem?

Hmmmm.... Sndz to me like a laser problem best thing to do is take it in to a repair shop and get the laser checked my friend`s ps2 did the same thing.

hahah my friend it seem we are in the same predicament i to have a playstation 2 slim version model scph-70002 that only play's playstation 1 games and pop up the same error when attemping to play playstation 2 games or dvds the warrent is gone so no luck there you been able to fix your problem werid manic?
