I am in the process of putting together a new P4 system (my first attempt) and have pretty much decided on Asus for my mobo. Anyone have any preferences on advantages of the Intel 845 chipset vs the Sis 645DX the obvious I know is DDR PC2700 on the Sis chipset but someone told me I would have less compatability problems if I stick with Intel chipsets. Any commetns/help appreciated

Get the P4S533. No doubt about it. The P4S533 is no regular SiS board, it support PC3200, not just PC2700. We're talking DDR400. At that speed it should be quite close to PC1066 RDRAM performance.

I've never heard anything but praise about the P4S533. It's the fastest P4 DDR board, and has 0 problems as far as I know. One minor issue it has comes along with high speed DDR333 and DDR400. At default voltage (2.5V for the RAM) you're limited to only 4 banks. In almost all cases you can get through this limitation by merely raising the VMem voltage to 2.7V in the BIOS.
