The A7V333-E is currently priced the same as the A7V266-E where I am. I assume it is a better board, but I'm a little confused on the memory score. Will it perform just as well as an A7V266-E if I use PC2100 DDR(I assume the newer faster stuff is called something else)? Or is does it only perform better with newer memory? Which board would you people recommend? Also, what's the difference between the 333 and 333-E and 333-R? I'm a bit lost here :)

Thanks in advance
Ewan

theres a basic model, with just the usb 2.0 and the c-media integrated audio (awful :-< ), and a full-equip model with raid, firewire and the basic things.

It not only support 333 MHz DDR and it also runs stable with 333 CPU bus.
I'd love to know what sort of cooling you're using there. I can't get anything like that speed on my A7V333 RAID mobo. (tops out @ about 139/278DDR before it gets badly unstable). The RAM, yes, because of the 4:5 CPU:RAM ratio, but not the CPU...
