Will I see a significant improvement in performance with my Athlon 2000XP+ if I swap a Gigabyte GA7VTXEP KT266A with 512Mb PC2100 RAM to an Asus AV7V333 KT333 with 512Mb PC2700 RAM?

i dont think you'll get a REALLY significative improvement in performance swapping mobos, since the chipsets of both are really the same thing, almost. The Kt333 on the asus gives you support for some new things (as USB 2.0, firewire, and PC2700 DDR SDRAM). The best improvement should came on the and of the pc2700 memory, but theres the problem of the Athlon's fsb (133), which runs asinchronously with the pc2700 required fsb (166), so you must overclock the cpu (or unlock it). i own a asus a7v333 and im very satisfied of the perfomance. see ya

system specs (if you care :)
asus a7v333 revision 1.01 fsb@140 mhz
Athlon xp 1800@1604 mhz
512 mb ddr valueram @140 mhz
Gforce 2 ti
