Every time I put a dvd movie in the drive in Win2k, I get a blue screen very quickly followed by a reboot. The blue screen says something about "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

I hardly ever play DVD's on my comp, so I don't know how long I had this problem.

I've got the latest via drivers for my Asus K7V mobo. Latest Sound Drivers for my SB Live!. Detonator 2183 for my GeForce256DDR (detonator 2311 gives me random freezes). DirectX8.1SDK running in retail mode (i.e. using the same files as the normal DX8.1). And the latest drivers for my other hardware which include a WinTV PVR and a CLabs Dxr3 DVD Decoder card.

Now I ask, what the hell is wrong and how do I fix it?

cheers.

I used to get that error quite a bit under 2k, although I got it when under counter-strike

Completely disappeared when I went from 2183 det drivers to 2311.

Try 2311 and see if you can play a DVD...
