The last topic i brought up, COD3 not coming out for PC, has brought me to a new incident where apparently Infinity Ward and other companies behind them, are begining COD4. No Launch date has been set, but it has gone into the making. Unfortunately, for us COD players, the most upcoming game into the COD series:Call Of Duty 2, will not be launching a expansion pack to the game. My guess is they dont have the time between the launch of COD3 for console at the end of this year, and the time being put in for COD4. No set system requirements have been stated yet, but i would bet it would be for DX10 video cards, and only to be run on vista. A COD5 is also in the brainstorming field, believed to bring a futuristic style WW2 aspect. To find out more of this info that i have just shared with you, Heres the link:
Well COD2 was riddled with problems from the get go. It wasnt a smooth release like COD1 was. IW spent more time developing content for the Xbox360 and getting the infamous lackluster patch out for the PC version i doubt they had time to develope any extra content besides mappacks and so forth. With Treyarch taking COD3 out of thier hands they should have plenty of time for a well polished COD4 release in mid to late 2007. Hopefully it is not a WWII theme game. I mean, the genre has been done already a hundred times over. COD1+ Expansions, COD2, and COD3 are all WWII themed. TO make COD4 another WWII theme is just overkill. I mean what more will they offer that they haven't done already? Going modern warfare is the right move cause that is the only void we have in war based games today. So far BF2 has been the only really super successfull modern warfare game to ever hit the market. Other games like BlackHawn Down and whatever that Army-based game is called has had lackluster followings. The genre is open to be reinvented. IW has the staff, but can they pull it off or will COD4 be another mishap like thier dealings with COD2. Only time will tell.

I think they were going to try a futuristic approach in COD5, but they might do something in COD4. True about the redundancy with COD, CODUO, COD2 and now COD3.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be revealed today during the NFL draft on Sat April 28th. If you want to see how the new COD 4 will look i'd suggest you watch it. Makers of COD1 and 2 are making 4 so it should be interesting
