I am currently in the process of piecing together a new P4 system. I plan on buying the 1.6A or 2.26, so I plan on later doing some overclocking if not immediately. The more I have read the more I have gotten lost in the great memory debate. Can anyone offer any advice in the direction to go? I am just totally clueless right now about the right motherboard and memory combo for performance, stability, and overclocking.

Abit TH7II and Samsung RAM

Is the Abit TH7-II still viable option? It's rather old. How far can I get with this board? I mean, does it support 1066 RDRAM for example?

I'm at a 155 FSB, so 133 shouldn't be a problem

Now I keep hearing also about the Asus boards and how does it compare? Also I have heard from differant people that the best memory to go in 1066 is true samsung but have also heard it is difficult to locate.

Asus boards aren't too bad, but they've fallen out of favor. The TH7II is by far the most popular board I see used by overclockers.
