Falcon AF Performance Inquiry

I'm running Falcon 4.0 Allied Force on a computer that's, well a dinosaur to say the least. I'm embarrased to say but i'll go ahead and let you know what i'm running any way.

Dell Dimension 8100
P4 1.3 GHZ
512 MB RDRAM PC800
128 MB TI 4600 Video card
Dell craptastic propietary motherboard.

I'm saving for a beast. My current rig runs far cry decent in 1024x768 with everything on medium. My question is, are there any of you who place Falcon 4.0 Allied Force on a monster computer? It is just chop suey and grainy as all hell no matter what resolution/texture quality settings I have it set to.

I know the game is a little dated but, does it run smooth and look good for any of the rest of you? Please post what kind of system you are using, kind of patches you are using. It seems to be really bad when "panning" with my hat switches on my saitek x52 flight controller. Could the flight controller itself be causing the choppy panning?
