Senior citizens in Florida are passing off slot machines and other \"adult arcade\" gambling games as video games and comparing their illegal casinos as the equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese restaurants. And they\'re getting away with it, too. While granny gamers cheat the system, legislators are hoping to excessively regulate real video games. Welcome to the new millennium.

I have been watching this case with Gale Fontane and the "Florida Arcade Association" and I support Granny aka. adult arcades. Hey lets face it, Big Corporations pay the big bucks in donations to politicians to pass laws that would not be passed if you or me the "little guy" tried to get some thing passed. The government puts restrictions on biz opps that the little guy cannot meet. Case in fact was the low power fm radio movement where professionals proved that you can build a mini transmitter for under $500.00 that was Equal in quality as big corporations like clear channel uses. No But the FCC makes you spend millions of dollars to have a radio station thus the average guy cannot afford.
These Adult Arcades have found a loop hole in the law that casinos in Florida must meet. Why are grey hound, horse tracks and Indian reservations aloud to have slots but the average Joe cannot? Because of Big corporations. that's why. Gail Fontaine got closed down and took the case to court and won. In my opinion, this is another step forward for the little guy. If anyone one can get laws to pass in Florida is the voice of the senior citizens. I applaud them for speaking up. Politicians better watch out on this subject or they may get voted out. Maybe if the younger folk would speak up and write their congressman and tell them that if they don't back off of regular video games, they will be voted out too, you may then see some changes.
