the new abit kx7-333 is coming out. what do you think about this motherboard? someone has already it? thanks for your knowledge about.

i like also the AT7 (completed with many options and features) but i would like to have an opinion about the latest abit motherboard.

the problem is this new motherboard hasn't the raid option. i would like also this feature.

AT7 and KX7-333 are basically the same (VIA KT333 chipset) except that AT7 doesn't have P/S2 ports for keyboard and mouse anymore, plus it has built-in sound card and LAN as well as USB-2 and Firewire 1394.

It sure has with version KX7-333-RAID. I just bought it and love it. I have been overclocking my XP1600+ at FSB 176MHz and 9.5Multiplier (1673MHz).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

so with a xp2100+ we can expect an overclocking about 2Ghz with a good cpu series. i think this is above the possibilities offered by the new thoroughbred.

About the XP1600+, is it a Thoroughbred or Palomino? Which one is better? I'm thinking bout getting an Abit KX7-333R, how much did you pay for your Abit?

Mine is Palomino core. I don't know which one would be better since I haven't used TBred (and I don't want to speak of it until I get a hand on it). I bought my KX7-333R from Newegg for $109.

I chose the KX7-333r (and got it at newegg.com for $109:) I think it is better since it allows you to pick and choose your expansion cards (and you can also use them in a new board when you upgrade). I was just wondering about Tbred compatibility. With a bios update, is there any reason that it shouldn't work?
