I am a novice XP user. It seemed like a good idea (now I'm wondering) to
set up separate user accounts for each of my kids. Now when I install a
pre-XP program it only shows up on the administrator start menu and the
administrator desktop with a shortcut to that program. How do I install a
program and then have each of the kids desktops have access to that same
program?
Or, should I scrap that whole idea, and go back to one user on the system
and everyone uses the one user?

Hi Jonathan,
This problem might happen with Pre-XP programs. there is no need for
scraping the idea of single user.
Copy the progarm Shotcuts from the Administrator's profile desktop
(c:\documents and settings\administratot\desktop) to
the other profiles desktop (c:\documents and settings\ <profile
name>\desktop).
this should work.
