run light

I have a supermicro 370SSA motherboard. The run light for C drive stays on constantly. If I disconnect and reseat the cable that sometimes clears the problem, but not for long. What can be causing this to happen

Check the hardrive "IDE LED" switch wire going to the mobo. I would check it to see if it's loose or damaged. If you just installed this mobo, it could be on backwards.
