Help Me Pleeeease
hello guys this is my pc spec:
AMD Thunderbird 1333mhz
768 ddr memory
GA-7VTXE gigabyte motherboard
Radeon 8500 (retail)
Two 40gig maxtors
soundblaster live 5.1-but im using onboard soundcard now
7vtxe V7 bios update
I have tried all drivers for this card, ive done fresh formats, the lot,and if i dont underclock my graphic card to 250/250, which default it is 275/275, then my pc will just lock up,and i gotta reboot,if it is the motherboard which is the problem, what is the best board for me to get?
Look forward to hearing from ya all
i aint got any locking up problems but i am having trouble with that mobo and similar cards
im running an XP2100+, gf3ti500, audigy5.1, 256mb of pc2700.
yet this set up is running slower on the new mobo and chip than my old k7master and 1.4Ghz thunderbird.
poked it, tweaked it, pushed it, proded it...and nothing still slower than my old rig.
and no idea why
does anybody know of a decent benchmarking programe i could d/l that deals with the chipset and cpu rather than concentrating of the grafix like the md mark tests do???
maybe that kind of bench marking test would help me woork out why things are so slow
ma wife can tell your fortune by looking in your toilet dave
This is near impossible to find, but see if you can get a hold of CPUMark, I think it's made by a 'professional' computing magazine like pc computing or pc world. (the non-technical, give you bad advice, spread FUD, get excited about technology that doesn't exist magazines)
