P4S533 won't POST

Last response: in Motherboards

Hi,

Just upgraded my system, and can't get it to work. The new components are:

Asus P4B533
P4 2.26G
KingMax DDR400 (2x 256MB).

PSU is an Enermax. Vid card is a Radeon VE.

Regardless of what system clock settings I use (jumperfree or otherwise), the system won't POST at all - no error messages, no HDD activity, but all fans are spinning, and HDD/power lights are on.

I've tried raising the DDR voltage to 2.7 rather than default 2.5. No luck.

Any ideas?

Count the number of screws you attached it with. Then turn it around and count the number of post mounted to the backboard. The second most common problem for no post on a new system is having the motherboard grounded through an improperly positioned mounting stud. And it's probably the stud between the second and third slot on the case.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Oh, and the first most common problem is having the drive cable mounted wrong, which results in the IDE light staying on but no POST.
