HD LED either always on or always off

I have the Antec SOHO server case and the Asus A7V333. I have the H.D.D. LED cable connected to the IDELED pins on the motherboard, but it doesn't seem to be working right. One direction, the light is ALWAYS on. Other direction, the light is ALWAYS off. ???

is it a 3 pin connector?
if sone the only 2 need to be connected.

i always get confused as well when connecting them up.

move it around and turn it around till the light works properly.

It's only two pins connector, and there are only two pins. That means two different ways, and they end up being always on or always off.

and u sure its going to be 2 horizontal...
ive seen the plug being vertical also.
