I was wonderin guys... Im building a new PC for my dad and i bought him a geforce card and a Duron 1.2... I tried using an old PC chips socket A mobo with the KT133 chipset... And well, it wouldnt even post... I was pretty sure that duron was too fast for it and too advanced since they changed the duron core since the mobos production... And now i need a better mobo... I want the SOLTEK SL-75DRV2 (Purple Ray Ver.)with the KT 266a chipset, cause he wants to use an old ata 66 Hard drive for some reason, i guess he just wants to be a hardass... What do yall think of this board? Will it work with my duron 1.2? Im almost sure it will, but its better safe than sorry... Oh one last question, when i booted that duron up in that old mother board that didnt even get to post or any bios beeps, it didnt damage it did it?

Thanks for any replys! Drew

I used the SL-75DRV2 with my "old" Athlon 1600+, and I really loved the board. It´s VERY stable and has alot of cool features!

I had a cool sig. ready, but my dog ate it!

Hay thanks alot guys!!! I think ill order that board now...
But i saw for 15 bucks more, i could get the
SOLTEK SL-75DRV5 with the VIA KT333 for like 15 bucks more... It supports a ata 66 drive, but the duron 1.2 will work on that one right?

Thanks guys!<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by Chicken_attack on 06/18/02 06:55 PM.</EM></FONT></P>
