Can't Play Sim 2 after installing expansion

I've done what the instruction said save files in seperate folders, but when i finish playing Nightlife i can't play the original Sim 2 or the other expansions installed. I Need Help!!!

Nightlife isn't compatable with certain mods and custom content - do you have any such material installed?
