Hello
Every computer connected to the Internet has a unique identifier called an
IP address. On many networks, the IP address of a computer is always the
same. On other networks, a random IP address is assigned each time a
computer connects to the network. This is what we are referring to when we
ask if you have a static or a dynamic IP address. If a system uses dynamic
addressing, the IP can change quite often.

To find out your IP address
Start>Run>(type)cmd>(type)ipconfig

Ip address is nothing but Internet protocol address.It is a 32 bit number and also a unique address which is used to identify itself and communicate with other device in the ip network.Any device must have an unique ip address to connect with ip network. Ip is classified into three types like class A,class B and class C.Starting ip address of class A is 10.0.0.0,class B is 172.16.0.0 and class C is 192.168.0.0.
There are some other address associated with ip address.They are subnetmask,Default Gateway,DHCP server address,DNS server address etc.You can find these address in windows enabled system by using the following method.
Start->Run-CMD->Ipconfig/all
You can find internet ip address and location,Longitude,latitude,ISP provider name using the site http://www.ip-details.com/
