Lets say you have just bought your first computer. You have bought the following
Fifa06, PGA 06, Madden 06, and NBA Live 06
You would be a fool to buy
Fifa07, PGA 07, Madden 07 and NBA Live 07 at FULL price.
Why?
Because with EA Sports games you really need to be putting in a decimal point.
So it becomes
Fifa Version 0.6, PGA v0.6, Madden v0.6, NBA v0.6...
EA doesnt allow you to upgrade from version 0.6 to 0.7. Oh no. They expect you to pay full price for the next version. And beleive me, it wont be a full price upgrade. Oh no. It will be incremental in the extreme. A few player and league changes. Minor tweaks on the graphics, and thats about it.
Imagine youve owned a computer for a few years
You have
Fifa V0.5, PGA v0.6, Madden v0.4, NBA v0.3
Add 5 years, or 0.5 on the version number, and your HALF WAY there to getting a full upgrade...
Thus
Fifa v1.0 (or 2010), PGA v1.1 (Or 2011), Madden v0.9 (2009), and you only have to wait another year before you buy NBA v0.8 (2008)
Because, EA Sports MILK their games. There is no way they can design a game from start to finish in less than a year. So your paying FULL PRICE for a rehash of last years game....
Scandalous. Of course. RIP OFF, indeed. But there are plenty of suckers out there... Who cant live without their version 0.7 of the latest EA sports game.
